The mission of the church militant (here on earth)

We firmly believe that the mission of each congregation was already established by our Lord Jesus Christ before He ascended to heaven, saying:

“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, and baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to observe all that I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Mt 28:18-20

Therefore, each congregation with its own characteristics will work to achieve this task. We call this the vision of each congregation.

La misión de la Iglesia militante (aqui en la tierra)

Creemos firmemente que la misión de cada congregación ya fue establecida por nuestro Señor Jesucristo antes de ascender al cielo, diciendo:

«Toda autoridad me ha sido dada en el cielo y en la tierra. Por tanto, vayan y hagan discípulos en todas las naciones, y bautícenlos en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo. Enséñenles a cumplir todas las cosas que les he mandado. Y yo estaré con ustedes todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo.» Amén. Mt 28:18-20

Por tanto, cada congregación con sus propias características trabajará para lograr este cometido. A eso le llamamos la visión de cada congregación.

Fourth Sunday in Advent

Collect for Sunday December 22nd, 2024

Stir up your power, O Lord, and with great might come among us; and as we are sorely hindered by our sins from running the race that is set before us, let your bountiful grace and mercy speedily help and deliver us; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory, now and for ever. Amen.
